The Spice Lounge
The Spice Lounge offers an exciting venue for eating, drinking and dancing, open until late Monday - Saturday.
It combines rich, warm tones with retro furniture, resulting in a stylish and contemporary
room, divided into a bar area, offering roomy red leather banquettes
which are ideal for groups, and the dancefloor, which also offers
provides further seating.
Drinks include speciality cocktails, mixed by head bartender Tarun Pushkarna and his team. The list features classics as well as original drinks, many with an Indian twist. These include Elderflower Pop (elderflower water and cucumber vodka charged with champagne); or Cardamom and Pineapple (gin, pineapple juice, cardamom pods and fresh pineapple) and priced at just £5.75.
Wines, by the glass (from £3) or bottle (from £11), beers (both draught and bottles) and champagnes are also available, as well as non-alcoholic options such as fruit-based long drinks and lassis.
The
bar food menu includes snacks such as plain or flavoured naans, or
squid with pepper, garlic, tomato and ground spices. More substantial
dishes from the upstairs kebaberrie are also available, such as ‘tawa’ grilled halibut steak; or succulent spring chicken.
The Spice Lounge offers a relaxed environment for a drink and bite to eat after work, with tealights creating a cosy atmosphere. Groups can reserve one of the banquettes, which double up as booths. DJ’s play at the weekend, their choices reflecting the eclectic music policy, and a cover charge may apply on entrance after 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
